Sol Selectas welcomes Brazilian artist Ruskar to the family with a stellar 2 track EP of Afro Tribal House music. 

The title song “Amazônia” is inspired by the sounds of the Amazon jungle, and we hear the voices of native birds, monkeys, tigers, and alligators. The tribal drums are supported by an ancestral flute, which calls the people of the forest to dance. 

“Resistência” is another call to action, to stand up for the rights of those in need. This song brings awareness to the current struggle in the Brazilian rainforests, where Indigenous tribes are fighting to save their land, culture, and identity from Western so-called “progress”. The track perfectly balances electronic synths with organic percussion, and the epic breakdown creates a moment of pure bliss on the dance floor. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali portrays the guardian angels of the jungle, circling around the Amazonia portal.
