Meso Haus

Sol Selectas presents the first single by Shamoun titled “Meso Haus”, which draws inspiration from ancient Mesopotamia.

"Meso Haus" merges house music with the traditional melodies of Mesopotamia, fusing these unique cultural rhythms and microtonal scales with modern electronic influences.

In the song you will hear Electric Baglama - played by Ali Shaker, as well as  Bendir, Darbuka, and Bongos, all played live by Shamoun. This song encapsulates the essence of Shamoun’s childhood upbringing, which was shaped by the rich sounds of Suryani, Turkey, and Greece. 

The EP features 2 remixes which ignite new sparks into the original story. Greek producer Valeron takes the track in a modern Afro house direction, while Turkish producer Anatolian Sessions crafts a more driving indie dance inspired take. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali shines ancient cosmic energy onto a Mesopotamian ziggurat temple, adorned by messages of abundance and prosperity, carved into stone.
